We pride ourselves on our busy events calendar here at SAM, where rarely a weekend passes without a ride out, plus mid-week rides to allow all members to join in. Rides continue over the winter, complimented with our Control and Theory sessions that cover the theory of motorcycle ownership and riding.
Motorcyclists wanting to get a hands-on impression of the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider Course may wish to enquire about our free taster rides, where a SAM observer will take you out for a one-on-one ride out, discuss the advanced rider course and how it could help your riding.
Bikers wishing to join us do so through the IAM Roadsmart Advanced Rider Course. This gives them Associate Member status for one year, during which they are expected to train and take the Advanced Motorcycling Test. Once passed, this entitles them to full IAM Roadsmart membership for life, providing annual subs to IAM RoadSmart and the chosen local club are maintained. Our annual subscription is only £15.00.
One of IAM RoadSmart’s key goals is to help its Full Members and Associate Members develop the advanced skills that help make driving and riding a safer, more enjoyable and rewarding experience.
